GPS was designed to work outdoors, but in recent years, integration into mobile phones has meant that weak-signal (indoor) GPS has been a hot R&D topic. Signav, of Canberra, are a world leader in this area and recently released the world's first weak-signal GPS timing receiver (GPS can be used to produce accurate time as well as position). This project aims to use this module as the core of a clock to be mounted on the wall of the EE building with an information plaque explaining its function.
