UNSW has developed a FPGA-bsaed GPS receiver that runs open-source software. There are a number of areas where further software must be developed - in the tracking loops, the signal acquisition process and the positioning algorithms. This project will focus on a specific subsystem of teh receiver and develop functionality that will be available to the open-source community.
