Description:
This project aims to investigate the low-level signal characteristics of different communication devices operating in the license-free 2.4GHz ISM band. The knowledge gathered will be used improve the interoperability of the Locata positioning system with other devices operating in the same frequency band. The project requires utilising an open-source software radio in order to down-convert and record incoming signals. A chosen set of signals will then be fed in to the radio and statistically qualified. Based on the results, a method should be suggested of how to minimise interference between Locata and the tested devices.
