This thesis will involve work with the Aerospace Engineering group. The aim is to install a GPS tracking device in a light plane at Bankstown airport, and communicate the data back to the lab in Mechanical Engineering, to link up with the MAV simulations. The student will be required to install the GPS chip, and develop a microcontroller to obtain the GPS data, format and transmit it through a radio to the ground station located at UNSW.
